A standard office chair, one you can buy from your local office store/department store is only rated to hold 200 Lbs. So combine 5 standard chairs and you have a 1000 lbs capacity chair all rolled into one. Pretty amazing that for a chair to be so much more heavy duty is crazy. You might even expect the chair to actually be the size of an office, but fortunately it is sized adequately and the seat size is double that of a normal office chair. So it's not so massive it cant fit through your doorway, but big enough to hold the big man in the office.
